About Us

Lee Anne Weltsch is a Portland, OR-based author of western fiction, science fiction, and non-fiction business books. She graduated from University of Phoenix in 2003 with a Master’s degree in Business Administration. After graduation, she continued to pursue a career in talent acquisition, recruiting and sales.

Tarragon is her fifth fiction book and her second science fiction space opera book. With her skills and education, Lee enjoys coaching others on the mechanics of writing, especially teens. She is obsessed with life experiences, chocolate, and a hot cup of coffee.
As a child, she had her nose stuck in a book vicariously living other lives. It wasn’t until high school when a teacher encouraged her to write “some made-up” story. Since that time, the voices in her head have gotten louder so she spends time writing down what they say.
Lee Anne’s first love is a western story, much along the lines of John Ford and Louis L’Amour. Five novels later, she relishes how these people can get into so much trouble inside her head and then onto the page. But she has branched out in sci-fi space operas now with The Man from Marvessa and Tarragon. From time to time, Lee Anne helps other authors with scenes, structure, and imagery.
She has two adult children and five grandchildren. She is married to her high school sweetheart, who encourages her to write everything. Lee Anne lives and writes in Portland OR, because that is where all the right pencils are.
